WELCOME
As architects, we are asked to create spaces in our communities that are highly valuable. This value needs to extend beyond the financial proposition of enclosing space to the generosity of public realm design that welcomes people to gather, connect and experience a place together. These strategies will also add to our resilient design tool set in the increased lifespan of those places that are loved and vital in our lives.
Woven space speaks to the idea that design in any community and at any scale can seek to bring people together. We can consider the experience of the individual so that every project becomes an intervention toward a more inclusive and equitable community. Incorporating this ethic shapes how we look at each design decision to add valued experiences and special places for all people to enjoy.
