Perspectives on a Post-COVID-19 Economy: Emerging Issues in Consulting and Corporate Strategy

Consulting and corporate strategy experts and UC Davis alumni Hussain Sharifi and Greg Thomas join UC Davis Associate Professor of Management Elizabeth Pontikes for a candid discussion on how the pandemic is affecting client relationships. Thomas and Sharifi both explained their organizations pre-existing relationships, underscoring the importance of past success and underlining the difficulties of establishing new gigs during the quarantine. An expert in the agriculture industry, Hussain discussed the relationship between commodities like the oil and gas industry and the price of corn. Thomas said disruptions from global supply chains hit hard could spur an increase in local manufacturing, which could affect a long-term recovery. Recorded on 05/19/2020. [Show ID: 36212]
